This is one beautiful chili with a shape much like a sea star. With roots in Peru, this pepper has since become domesticated in Brazil. The squat pods can reach 2” in size and mature from green to bright red. Slow to yield, but by the end of the season, these plants are amazingly prolific. Using this chili solely for ornamental purposes would do it a disservice. Flavor is sweet, with apple like fruitiness and an eatable level of heat for most people.
